Student Film Accepted to Prestigious Festival!

Brighton Hall is bursting with pride as a student-directed short film is set to premiere at the prestigious LA Shorts International Film Festival next week!

The film - co-directed by Aaniyah Marwah and Zachary Westerman - tackles the important issue of bullying and features a talented cast of Brighton Hall peers.  This acceptance into the highly competitive festival is a testament to the creativity and dedication of our students, who consistently take advantage of the numerous opportunities available to them to get involved in filmmaking projects outside the classroom.

"We are incredibly proud of Aaniyah and Zachary, along with the entire cast and crew of the film," said Principal Angie Peiris. "Their accomplishment is a shining example of the passion and potential that thrives within our student body."

The LA Shorts International Film Festival has a long history of helping to launch the careers of successful filmmakers, including Tim Burton, Scarlett Johansson, Jon Woo, and even one of our very own Brighton Hall alumni, Jason Reitman.  This is an incredible opportunity for Aaniyah, Zachary, and their fellow student filmmakers to showcase their talents alongside industry professionals and aspiring directors from around the world.

The film will screen on July 24th as part of the festival's high school shorts program.  Tickets are available here:
