Brighton Hall Elects New Student Council

Brighton Hall held its annual student council elections today, ushering in a new wave of student leadership. The elections, a much-anticipated event at the school, see students campaigning for weeks to secure positions that allow them to shape the school year with creativity, responsibility, and collaboration.

This year’s election was particularly exciting, with spirited campaigns and students vying for key positions. After all votes were counted, Brighton Hall proudly announced Zachary Westerman as the new student council president, with Rina Tochikura-Martin stepping in as vice president. Both Zachary and Rina, who have been active members of the school’s vibrant community, are ready to lead their peers and have already hinted at big plans for the year ahead.

“Being part of the Brighton Hall student council is a huge honor,” said Zachary. “I’m excited to work with everyone to bring fresh ideas to the table and make this school year the best one yet.”

The student council plays a vital role at Brighton Hall, serving as the voice of the students and coming up with ideas that enhance both the academic and social experience. Their responsibilities include planning school events, organizing fundraisers, and working on initiatives that benefit the entire student body. From the annual talent show to charity drives, the council’s influence can be felt in every corner of the school year.

One of the first major events the newly elected council will be tackling is Halloween—an event that Brighton Hall is famous for. The school has long been known for its extravagant and fun Halloween celebrations, and this year’s council has a lot to live up to.

Principal Angie Peiris, who has guided the school through years of growth and innovation, was quick to express her confidence in the newly elected council. “We’re incredibly proud of all the students who participated in the elections, and we’re excited to see what this year’s council will accomplish. Brighton Hall is a special place, and the student council plays a huge role in making it feel like home.”

With fresh leadership in place and a calendar of exciting events on the horizon, Brighton Hall is set for another successful year!
