Our new program is ideal for students who cannot be on campus full-time
Brighton Hall has been meeting the unique education needs of actors, musicians, athletes and working students for over 60 years. We have
recently announced a new program designed for any student that cannot be on campus full time. Our blended High School option allows
students to attend classes remotely, but have the option to come on campus when their schedule allows. This is ideal for taking exams,
meeting with teachers for 1:1 work, being in-person for a lab assignment or joining any of our social events.
Our hybrid program can also be used families that are home school their children. Our advanced placement (AP) and foreign language
classes are ideal for a student to attend in-person. Students can also attend any course that they need additional help with.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact us.
Students in grades 9 - 12 enroll in the same courses that our on-site students attend. The curriculum has been uniquely designed to support in-person and remote students. All students learn from a teacher who specializes in the subject being taught, versus having a single teacher that has general knowledge across all of the subjects.
Remote students do not attend class via Zoom or other web program. Instead, they go through class materials on their own, following the class plan that is available to them online. They can submit questions at any time and typically will hear back from the teacher within a day. They can also schedule time with the teacher for a live video session. We expect our remote students to remain up to date with the class, but still have the flexibility to work on school when their schedule allows.
We leverage Jupiter Ed and Google Classroom to support the remote students. Parents have access to their child’s assignments, grades, attendance and other information that is typically provided via the student information system (SIS). Google Classroom is the Learning Management System (LMS), where students access their assignments and other school work.
Our high school courses are dynamic, adapting yearly to student interests, ensuring a vibrant and engaging learning environment. From AP Literature to AP U.S. History, we offer a wide range of subjects that meet California State Board of Education “A-G” requirements and are UC-certified.
