At Brighton Hall, our commitment to fostering educational excellence and nurturing the holistic development of our students is embodied by our Head of School, Angie Peiris. With a rich background in educational leadership and a forward-thinking approach to learning, Ms. Angie champions an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This page offers a glimpse into Ms. Angie's professional journey, educational philosophy, and the visionary leadership that propels our school community towards innovation and success.
“Ms. Angie” grew up in Sri Lanka in a family of teachers who placed the value of education on the same level as family harmony. Coming to America as a teenager, she quickly realized the opportunities hard work can offer. She graduated from California State University Los Angeles with a degree in finance, before pursuing her Masters degree from National University.
At first, Ms. Angie toiled in the world of corporate finance with Lockheed and then Warner Brothers before she heard about a struggling school looking for a leader. Accepting the challenge, she quit her prestigious position and took up the direction of San Fernando Valley Professional School.
Combining her passion for children’s education with the business acumen developed in years of corporate finance, Ms. Angie – a mother herself to two grown sons – steered SFVPS to the fully accredited, college preparatory institution that Brighton Hall is today.
“To me, Brighton Hall represents the realization of my dream – to offer talented children a truly great education, along with a learning environment that helps facilitate their career ambitions. My goal is to provide a happy, nurturing, stress-free, creative academic setting, with the best teachers, in which all students can enjoy learning.”
Brighton Hall is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
